This cold hardy raspberry was introduced by the University
of Saskatchewan. Hence the SK. in the name. COLOUR: Bright red .Redness Hunter Colourimeter “ a “ value 30.7 {Boyne 29.5 }. SHAPE: Round. TITRATABLE ACIDS: 2.45 g of citric acid per 100 mls of juice {Boyne 2.75%}. SOLUBLE SOLIDS: 11.2% {Boyne10.6%} OTHER: Berries are easily detached from pith and stalk ,separating much easier than Boyne Skin abrasion resistance is better than Boyne. Berry diameter:19.9 mm [Boyne:16.3 mm].Ten berry weight:27.6 g [Boyne 21.3 g] WINTER HARDINESS: More winter hardy than Boyne. VIGOUR: Medium CANE STURDINESS: Reguires trellacing. Canes are less sturdy than Boyne and are of medium stature. HARVESTABILITY: Appears suited to machine harvest. MARKET: Is most suitable to the processing market but is acceptable to the fresh market.
